Febuary: Think Pink

I've never been a February kind of person. Never really been into that whole "Omg! It's Valentine's day!" fiasco I see around me. Hell, I even wore full black on V-day to school. Rebellious, right? Anyway, regardless of utter indifference to the month of February, I've been very pink these last few weeks. Pink blush and pink lips. These are the things I'm leaning more towards to lately. I just feel that pink is giving me a flush to my face that I'm sorely lacking lately. Pink is just a happy color when it comes to make up. It barely disappoints. We should all have at least one pink item in out make up bag so we can brighten up our day. Adding that flush of color that just looks right. For my daily dose of pink, I chose these items above. How Much Is My Face Worth (Eek!)

Let me start by saying how deeply ashamed I feel with the numbers I came up with. I thought this would be a fun post but it's definitely not when you're staring at the end results. I'm definitely putting the brakes on make up until further notice! What will I write about? Oh, I have some plans. Anyway, here we go!

This all comes down to a whopping $185! What is this! What have I done! Someone kick me in the arse because that is not okay. Bad, Ivonne! BAD! BAD! Sigh~ The sad part is this is a no make up, make up look. You'd expect I'd look more made up for $185!

Rimmel London | Wake Me Up Fundation

  Hey, guys! I come to you with a post on something I was really excited to try out: The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 303 True Nude. I'd been hearing about this foundation for some time and how good it was before I decided to go ahead and look for it. Sadly, after looking in a lot of drugstores I was disappointed to find out the product was only available in Europe. However, being of this century we have the lovely internet and more precise, Ebay. Picking the color that matched me was even trickier that going to a drugstore and staring at it for hours. I had to go to the Rimmel site and compare, plus check blogs with the color I thought would be for me. After doing some digging I thought 303 True Nude would be good on me which I'm glad I was right.

 The foundation itself is very self explanatory with the name 'Wake Me Up' and once you smell it you understand even more. It has a citrus-y smell that does kinda "wake you up" but nothing too strong. As for coverage, it has a good coverage I'd say it's medium/build-able without being cake-y and goopie. However I did notice that when applied my skin looks so dull instead of more radiant (which I get with another foundation which I will talk about later) and I feel I have to work a bit to make myself look alive, but after blending it a bit it looked and felt nice. Also, the foundation does have shimmer in it but it's nothing that overpowers. You don't need a lot to cover the whole face, which is good. I did think it lasted all day considering the lack of primer and heat wave.

 Overall, it's a good foundation considering it's a drugstore foundation. It's a major set back that it's not sold here so I don't think I'll get it again. If you're willing to order it then by all means try it out. I looked very nice on my skin and I didn't feel clogged up at all. I know not everyone is into buying expensive brand foundations so this is definitely a good choice and it truly gives a very nice coverage. I'm not sure how it would fair on sensitive skins since it does have a scent. For now I enjoy it and it's something I will use until it's empty.

Nude Obsession

 I think I've made it pretty clear that I'm having an unhealthy obsession with anything nude colored. To think that I once was against it since I thought I couldn't pull it off. You know the hate-something-because-you-can't-have-it syndrome? Yeah, that one. Now I go crazy and I'm more daring to try out nudes. Last time I wrote about nudes I was on the look out for a nude blush, which I found and will write a review later!

Kate Moss For Rimmel London

  Even though this collection has been out for quite some time I hadn't seen in here in PR until this weekend. Being a limited edition product, be it drugstore or high-end, I was surprised it was $5 each. I would have expected them to be around $8. I only had two shades to choose from, which are the two I got, and I was eager to try out my first ever Rimmel lipsticks. When I got home I hurried to try them on, they're pigmented enough and they don't wear off easily but I do have a problem with them...THEY.HAVE.SCENT. Not just any scent, but a fruity scent. The type you smell on children's make-up. It's yucky and it makes me dizzy. I don't usually have such problems, I do like MAC's vanilla scents but this is way to much. Just when I got used to it I would get a whiff of them again. Regardless, if you don't mind the smell than you could get them they do go on pretty...maybe I'm just a tad bit OCD on it. Who knows?
