I got this Rimmel nail polish duo at the drugstore $3 for both (there was a special). The pigment in the pink varnish is amazing, I only needed one coat and voila it was perfect. The only think is I don't think pink nail polish suits me personally. I wish I'd gotten a taupe color they had, boohoo. Anyway, I'm really happy with the finish look and I'll definetly be looking at more Rimmel nail polishes from now on!

Matte Nails | Yay or Nay?
Matte nails is a trend I've been seeing for almost a year now. Always been intrigued by it but I never went out to search for a matte polish or anything. Surprisingly enough I was at Hot Topic the other day and they were having a sale on any Warpaint beauty product. Everything $1.99, which included this matte nail polish. I decided to finally try it out and the results are pretty nice. It does leave a matte finish, very smooth and velvety. It dries quickly and it hasn't chipped yet. All in all, for $1.99 you can't go wrong, really. One thing I must say is, to my personal taste, the ideas and creations I can do with it are limited. I don't fancy a matte finish on pinks nor purples. I do like it on black and navy, something mysterious and elegant about it. Basically, I'll only be using it on darker colors, but that's just me.

Spring Trends: Nail Color
It is no secret that I prefer to wear black & white clothing instead of colors. It is also no secret that I prefer to use color as an accessory, and this includes my nails. With Spring here I'm gravitating more towards colorful nails and pastels. Which got me thinking, I could do a Spring Trend post and divide it into 3 parts: nail, face and lips. This is a perfect moment to whip out all of my favorite nail polishes of the moment. Without further a do here are my picks for Spring nail polishes!

Quick Stop
We made a quick stop to Wal-Mart yesterday so I could get some items for a DIY I'll be posting soon and I got two silly things. One, my Clinique foundation is now officially too dark for my face so I decided to get Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in 001 Ivory. Although my body has a slightly more yellow-ish tone to it my face doesn't, so I tend to be more on the pale side of cosmetics. I'll be doing a review on it soon. Second, I got a nail polish from Bettina in Candy Peppermint. It looks more pale on the bottle than on but it's okay, it's still a really pretty color.
Also, F21 is finally getting high-waist bottoms so I got a yellow high-waist short...color, I know! It's okay, I splash it with ridiculous amounts of black. It's a bit too short and rides up my bum but it's okay. Apart from the wedgie effect it's a very comfy short.
And lastly, I'm going to be doing a giveaway soon, hopefully in time for Valentine's Day, so stay tuned for that!
