It's that time again where I basically show you my lipstick collection and we can fawn over it. Hell, maybe even exchange some thoughts and what not. I love make up as a whole, but lipstick is definitely one of my top 3. I'm such a huge fan of any lipstick color as long as I can work it. Anyway, these are my lipsticks; please excuse how I change background on one of the groups but I forgot to shoot it with the others.

Fall Attire | November

Trying to cheer up while I get through my finals. It definitely feels like fall lately and I'm loving it. I can't wait to see Christmas lights and eating all the holiday food. I came up with this outfit because this is something I can't wait to wear. I can just see myself prancing around all cozy and warm in all this. It's such an easy, doable outfit that can be recreated by anyone anywhere. Yes, it's still hot here but during the night it's pretty 'chilly' and I could get away with something like this.

What would be your go to fall attire?

NARS | Honolulu Honey

I caved and bought my first NARS lipstick and I can safely say, I may not buy more. It's not that I hate it, it's just not worth $24. Anyway, the color is one that I loved so much on Jen from Clothes Encounters called Honolulu Honey. The color is a muted peach/nude. It reminds me of how Lime Crimes Cosmo Pop looks when you blot it. It's a somewhat satin texture that doesn't dry the lips. I love the color, it gives such a lovely nude color to my lips, but the wear I get out of this is not impressive at all. I keep having to re-touch it every hour or two. I don't regret buying it but as much as I love the color I refuse to spend $24 more on it. I can't help but sometime feel NARS is a bit overpriced.

What do you guys think of their lipsticks?

How Much Is My Face Worth (Eek!)

Let me start by saying how deeply ashamed I feel with the numbers I came up with. I thought this would be a fun post but it's definitely not when you're staring at the end results. I'm definitely putting the brakes on make up until further notice! What will I write about? Oh, I have some plans. Anyway, here we go!
  •   Formula 10.0.6- $7
  • BB Cream- $30
  • Reve de Miel- $20
  • NARS Laguna- $34 (I don't use this everyday but I still wanted to add it)
  • MSF Soft & Gentle- $30
  • Blush Tenderling- $20
  • Tarte Setting Powder- FREE (sample)
  • Bare Study Cream Shadow- $18.50
  • Rimmel Brow Pen- $3
  • Mascara- $8
  • Lipstick Honey Love- $14.50
This all comes down to a whopping $185! What is this! What have I done! Someone kick me in the arse because that is not okay. Bad, Ivonne! BAD! BAD! Sigh~ The sad part is this is a no make up, make up look. You'd expect I'd look more made up for $185!
Anyway, how much is your face worth?
Beware, you might end up like me... curled up into a ball in a dark corner crying.

My Top 3 Foundations

Skin 79 BB Cream $30- I've already written a review about this but I cannot rave enough on how much I love this BB cream. This gives me a very good coverage perfect for day to day while providing me with SPF50+ that feels light on my skin. Even though the texture of the BB cream itself is rather thick, it blends into the skin and just works with it. This is something I can definitely rely on to make me look like a million bucks.

Clinique Perfectly Real Make-Up $25- This is a very light weight foundation that is something I reach for when I'm going for a very minimal make-up face. Sometimes when I need to run errands and I don't want a full face of make-up but don't want to be completely without this is a foundation I reach for and slap on quickly.

NARS Sheer Glow $42- This was the big splurge that was very well thought of. This is that foundation you have for special occasions. It's a medium to full coverage so it's not ideal for a day to day usage, but perfect for a special night. It does give a lovely glow to the skin and it's easy to blend out. However one does have to be careful because it does have a tendency to cake so blotting is necessary.

NARS | Laguna

I'm back! After a horrible week and some of getting my wisdom teeth taken out and having some complications, I'm finally back to my old blogging self. And what better way to come back than to tell you I finally committed? Yes, I finally took the plunge and got NARS Laguna bronzer after staring at it for roughly (2) years. Let me tell you, I almost didn't get it. I don't know whats wrong with me but I could never make myself buy it. Anyway, I got it after forcing myself and I'm so glad that it didn't disappoint.

I first was introduced to this bronzer while I was working my first internship. I needed a bronzer, since we were getting ready for an event that evening, and one of my then co-workers lent me this bronzer. I fell in love at how effortless this bronzer is. What really struck me was how the me back then didn't know how to apply bronzer all that well but this bronzer made me look like a million bucks. Why it took me so long to get, I'll never understand. I'm just super glad that it is as amazing as I remembered it. Keep in mind that this is a pricey bronzer ($34) which is partly why I could never commit. My advice is you go try it out in the store before you buy it so you don't regret it.
The Laguna bronzer is a more fair to olive skin tone bronzer. It has a subtle gold shimmer to help give that glow tanning effect without having to actually sit under the sun and burn. I don't find you can do much contouring with this, but to each it's own. It has a very smooth application and it's easy to blend out. A little goes a long way, but I don't feel you need a light hand either. I don't fear I look like a clown when I go a bit "over board". This just gives that effortless glow look, like JLo is famous for. It has a very good color pay off and it does last a nice amount of time on. You may have to retouch it during the day but I don't mind it since by the time I'd have to retouch it I'm already home. This is hands down my favorite bronzer so far.
Swatch + Swatch blended with a brush.

Nars | Sheer Glow Foundation

And now for a review I've been dying to do. The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation! First off, this is my first ever NARS product and I've been researching it for over a year, so to finally have it is awesome. Let's start with the price. This foundation goes for $42 and has 30mL(1oz.) which is a lot of money to spend. Next lets head to the packaging itself, meaning the bottle. This is a huge thing that irks me so damn much! It.Has.No.Pump! I mean, for $42 you'd better throw in a pump instead of making me spend more money to get one! What if I didn't like the product? At least, give me the decency of having a pump so I can make the process of using it less painful. However, they're lucky I love this foundation although I'm not buying a damn pump yet. Which makes the process of pouring it to the back of my hand a bit tedious, I've developed quite the precise hand. Either that or loose precious, precious product.

Now, on to the product itself. This in no way is a sheer coverage foundation, more like medium to build able. It sit wonderfully on my skin making it glow and look more alive, oppose to the Rimmel one. It has lasted me all day with primer and with air conditioning around me, but I don't think it'd fair so well in this massive heat we're having here. It doesn't feel heavy at all on my skin (and I'm very touchy about that) and I feel I can wear it even without setting it with powder. You need a light hand with this, a little goes a long way or you may suffer cake face and we wouldn't want that.

Overall, I love it. It's something I don't wear everyday and save it for special occasions which makes the price a bit more bearable since I wont waste it fast. I like how it feels and it hasn't broken me out. I don't find it's drying or anything but my skin is combo/oily in the T zone so I wouldn't know much about it on dry skin. They have a good color range but a lot of them are yellow tones. I suggest you go and get yourself matched like I did. Tell them to apply it on your whole face and walk around a bit before deciding to buy it. This is a definite favorite for me and I will buy it again when I ran out of it!

Sephora Haul + Shopping Advice

I've been a bit over 2 years really falling deep into the cosmetics world, especially now that I'm really learning the ins and outs and I've picked up a few pointers along the way. Cosmetic prices vary and one has to be very conscious when committing to buy something and I have a bit of a ritual I do that I decided to share. I do speak about it in the video I will be sharing of mine but I do feel I'm never able to get into depth when I speak since I forget my point along the way so I try to get more into depth when I write.

I don't do anything to complex before I buy something but since I started doing my little ritual I've avoided certain crappy products and saved a bit of money. Always research the product you're interested in before buying. When I see something I like, either in a magazine, blog or video, I start reading up on it and thinking it over. Always ask yourself if you will have to eat Ramen for a week so you can be able to buy it. If so, then just slowly store money away and don't rush into anything. Also, try the product out in the store: the texture, feel and durability while you walk around. If needed, ask for help on putting it on. You have to pick and choose what you'll buy and when. Sometimes buying a lot in one is okay but not always. These are all things that go without saying, but I do see people buying things they just heard about and later regretting it. Putting yourself in a budget also helps. Research and choose carefully. Hope that helped!
