Makeup Must Haves

These are products that when I look back I know I made a good investment. Even after having some of these for a long time I still get a lot of use of them. Sometimes daily.

Naked Palette- This is one of those products that just gives ample ways of usage. This is a very complete product to have and the colors just make it easy for both day and night looks.

Falsies- If you already have long lashes and you're looking to just get the black color in them, I suggest this mascara. This is what I use to give my lashes a very opaque color and to also give them that spider look.

Tarte Smooth Operator- Definitely a product to have if you get oily during the day, if you have big pores or both. This just prevents me from getting oily in the T-zone for a good amount of time. Also, you don't need a lot of product to get this working right.

Tarte Exposed Blush- A nude blush is always something you should consider having. Both fair and dark skin can pull this off, getting a lovely flush on the skin that just makes you look healthy.

Etude House BB Cream- Providing a very good coverage and giving my skin a lovely glow, I can't ever go back to Western foundations. With so many BB cream products out there the possibilities are endless, so trying the one that's right for you is a game that at the end is very rewarding.

MAC Honeylove Lipstick- A nude lipstick is always a must on my make up bag. Honeylove is my one true love that I always go back to. It provides a lovely pink undertone nude that looks amazing on any occasion and can compliment the rest of my make up well.

Kat Von D Oh My Goth- Just like having a nude lipstick is a must for me, so is having a dark one. This lipstick is the perfect dark purple with an amazing metallic finish that has pink shimmer. What can I say? It looks amazing.

MAC Soft & Gentle- Highlighters are such lovely additions to make up bags. When you're feeling a little dull, just slap a good highlighter on the top of your cheekbones and you're ready to go. Soft & Gentle is just one of those neutral highlighters that give a very nice glow that gives the face dimension.

L'Oreal Liquid Eyeliner- If you're into the cat eye look, a good opaque liner that gives you precision  is a must. Good opaque liners can be found both in drugstores and more high end products.

Eyelash Curlers- Even if you have curly lashes, I find that lash curlers come in handy. They can just separate and keep your lashes in check, getting them ready for mascara.

Kat Von D | Lock 'n Load Setting Mist

I've never been one for setting sprays or anything like that. I can safely say, in my books, MAC's setting spray was the only one I was aware of and as far as impressions went it didn't have a good one. To me, it was water and made me looked caked. Sure, I never bought one but I did try it at the store. Not very impressed. Needless to say I never thought I'd getting a setting mist/spray.

I preach about the importance of research. Researching products before buying will save you from ill spending money on crap. However with this I broke my rule and went with le gut. Let me say, I'm actually happy. Whilst checking concealers at Sephora for my mom, I ventured into the Kat Von D area. My purpose was to only check on the concealers from her line since I read they were quite good. Anyway, while my mom was testing the concealer I grabbed the mist and sprayed some on. After checking what was needed and such, I passed a mirror and saw that my face looked renewed. I'd been out for most of the day and my make up looked worn, but I must say that with the mist it just seemed like I had freshly applied make up again. No cakeyness or anything, just fresh.

After trying it since getting it, its proven to be actually very good. I find it works better when applied after a long day, just to freshen up, rather than setting the make up when you first apply it in the morning. The smell is very nice, like cucumbers, and just adds to the actual joy of spraying it. It's a very refreshing mist that just tidies you up during the day. I swear, if they make a travel size I'm going to always have it with me.

Fall Lipsticks | My Picks

It's almost that time again where we start getting the urge to wear darker and bolder lipsticks, so I thought I'd show you my picks. These are basically what I'll be wearing all through fall. Beware, many of these are matte and are dry, which isn't good fore dry temperatures so always moisturize your lips before applying.

Monte Carlo NYX Matte Cream- This is a bit of a darker red, more blue toned. It looks more vampy but it still keeps that classic red touch. It's just this vibrant red that looks very nice on all skin tones (I especially like it on ebony skin tones).

MAC Twig- This is a very mauve lipstick that is a shade darker than my lips. This is perfect to start out my fall, not too dark but dark enough.

MUF Rogue Artist Intense 19- This is a berry color with a hint of gold sparkles. I don't usually go for lipsticks with shimmer but you don't feel the ones in this lippie and they're very subtle.

MAC Diva- This is a very vampy berry toned lipstick. Perfect for when you have a very minimalistic face and wish to showcase some serious dark lips.

Tom Ford Black Orchid- This is a classic. Elegance is just oozing from this lipstick. This is a gorgeous chocolate lipstick that adds a hint of mystery to your fall look.

Kat Von D Oh My Goth- The name says it all. This is a gorgeous purple with pink shimmer in it. It looks amazing and it doesn't apply completely opaque, you can build up the color. I love this lippie, especially on Halloween.

I picked all of these lipsticks because they're gorgeous for staring at and for wearing them. There is just something about a clean face and dark lips that adds mystery and I love that. I'm all for the thick brow and dark lips this coming fall. Plus, I just love Halloween and I can't wait to smother dark lipsticks on and prance around. We all have to satisfy that inner goth that comes out every now and then.
What will your fall lipsticks be?
