Textures | Skulls & Lace

It's been such a long time since I've done an outfit or fashion related post. To be honest, I feel somewhat rusty. What can I say? I just didn't have the energy to document my style... Anyway, one thing that's always fun to play around with is texture. When done right it can look pretty damn awesome. Here I played with a cheer blouse with gold skulls and a ivory lace layered short. I wanted something simple, monochromatic and modern. I played with (3) textures; faux leather, chiffon and lace. When it came to accessorizing I just went with my trusty Doc Martens with simple black stockings.

Fall Attire | November

Trying to cheer up while I get through my finals. It definitely feels like fall lately and I'm loving it. I can't wait to see Christmas lights and eating all the holiday food. I came up with this outfit because this is something I can't wait to wear. I can just see myself prancing around all cozy and warm in all this. It's such an easy, doable outfit that can be recreated by anyone anywhere. Yes, it's still hot here but during the night it's pretty 'chilly' and I could get away with something like this.

What would be your go to fall attire?

September Empties

Caudalie Beauty Elixir- I finished my bottle not long ago and I find myself missing it. I mean, it didn't do much to my skin but it did help me a lot when I was going through the wisdom teeth pain. The smell of it and feel helped me cope a bit. Don't know if this is enough to make me repurchase it though.
Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange- I got the miniature bottle at Marshall's for about $2. Got it because I loved the smell and wanted to force myself to use lotion more often. I found myself trying to use this up quickly to be able to use my L'occitaine lotion and guess what? Mom got me a new one, sigh.
Ro's Argan- Oh why is this all gone? I miss the smell of this so damn much. Why can't we have a LUSH here? Online is just not the same.
The Body Shop Earth Lovers Fig & Rosemary Shower Gel- Got this at Marshall's and was drawn to the weird smell of it. I used this up very quickly since I loved the texture and how it went from liquid to gel form when I scrubbed it in.

DIY Studded Shoulder Vest

I had some studs lying around from a diadem I bought from Forever 21 that I didn't use. I decided to go ahead and use them on my vest shoulder. They're really easy to use, you just make a whole and screw them in... pun not intended! I like them because they're easily taken off and reusable, however it's sad that I need to either order them of rip them off a diadem to have some. We can't buy them here since they're not something that sells, pity.

Sneaker Heels

The great Isabel Marrant brough us the sneaker heel. An amazing way to wear comfort and style at the same time, using the popular high-top sneaker and adding heels on the inside without you being able to notice. I've seen many versions of the originals and they just don't have that sneaky way of hiding the fact that they have heels. I was excited to get these from JessicaBurman where they make runway shoes for less. I got these on sale and had free shipping plus a discount for signing up. When I got these I wore them the same day for a gig we had at Univision TV with Erika. Let me tell you something, these shoes are amazing. They give me some added height and are amazingly comfortable. They remind me of snowboarding shoes and Osiris high-tops, without the obnoxious brand name places everywhere. They have this edgy chic way about them that make them look great. I know I'm going to have fun playing with these babies.

Seeing The Stars

Top- F21, Vest- DIY, Leggings- Marshalls, Purse- Ebay

I've been swamped with work and I feel I've neglected my blog, so I'm here feeding it some outfit posts that feature my new Erika P horn earrings. This outfit was very carefree and comfortable, perfect for working at a retail store and picking up after people. I'm a black & white girl, there's no shame in that but I do try to incorporate color in my accessories. This time I used brown to break my black and white outfit. Very casual and easy.
