Playing With Purple | Eyes

I seldom use purple eyeshadows, even though they compliment brown eyes, I just don't seem drawn to them. However, feeling adventurous I decided to have some fun with one look and two lip colors.
I still don't think purple will be a permanent color for my shadow usage, but it's definitely something I'll be keeping in mind.

Since my skin has been giving me some stress I thought I'd share with you my skin care wishlist. I'm hoping to get some of these before I leave for a winter vacation where my skin is going to go haywire. Lately I've been a huge sucker for skin care products since I'm rarely wearing make up do to me basically living in the gym. I know I don't have bad skin but everyone works with what they have and I wish to get mine under control. I've never tried any of these though, but I'm attracted to each one for a reason, especially Aesop.

Have any of you tried any of these? I wonder.

How Much Is My Face Worth (Eek!)

Let me start by saying how deeply ashamed I feel with the numbers I came up with. I thought this would be a fun post but it's definitely not when you're staring at the end results. I'm definitely putting the brakes on make up until further notice! What will I write about? Oh, I have some plans. Anyway, here we go!
  •   Formula 10.0.6- $7
  • BB Cream- $30
  • Reve de Miel- $20
  • NARS Laguna- $34 (I don't use this everyday but I still wanted to add it)
  • MSF Soft & Gentle- $30
  • Blush Tenderling- $20
  • Tarte Setting Powder- FREE (sample)
  • Bare Study Cream Shadow- $18.50
  • Rimmel Brow Pen- $3
  • Mascara- $8
  • Lipstick Honey Love- $14.50
This all comes down to a whopping $185! What is this! What have I done! Someone kick me in the arse because that is not okay. Bad, Ivonne! BAD! BAD! Sigh~ The sad part is this is a no make up, make up look. You'd expect I'd look more made up for $185!
Anyway, how much is your face worth?
Beware, you might end up like me... curled up into a ball in a dark corner crying.

Korean Face Masks

As my blog continues to grow on a more cosmetics view, I've been delving deeper into what is make up and skin care. This, and my love for the Korean culture, led me to wanting to try out face masks. Now I see cheap ones in the super market or some stores but, in my way of thinking, I go directly to the source that shows amazing progress. The Asian culture. It's no secret that Asian women have skin care down to a T. I've seen asian women who are nearly 30 and look 21. To be more specific, Sandara Park from 2NE1 who is a perfect example of a perfect complexion. So, why not try out Korean based products? I mean, their BB creams, and other skin care products, are very well known to work. So I decided to hunt down a Korean seller on ebay and chose Buykpop. This seller was very good and delivered the items perfectly and I will repurchase in the future.

I decided to get (3) Rice masks for $9 and try them out. They have a very nice selection of masks that you can combine and buy. You get this really moist face mask which is heavily folded. You must unfold it and place it correctly to the face and basically stick it on. This is a product I had so much fun using and cannot wait to use again. The first thing you notice as you put it on is how cold it makes your face feel. The sensation it gives is amazing and truly addicting. It helped moisturize and make my skin firm. My skin felt amazing each time I used one, and looked even better. I cannot express how much I loved this product and recommend you try it out if you want to maintain good skin throughout the years. They have very good descriptions on what each of the masks do. Truly, check them out and try some if you're interested. Here are the types of masks they have:
  • Aloe
  • Cucumber
  • Lemon
  • Olive
  • Pomegranate
  • Pumkin
  • Kelp
  • Mung Bean
  • Red Ginseng
  • Rice
  • Pearl
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • CO-Q10
  • Collagen

Huge Thanks To Clarins!

Small post here, but I'd love to recognize these two Clarins samples that helped me so much these few weeks. My face had hit a rough patch of having some very dry patches around my cheek and cheek bone area that was driving me insane. I'd forgotten about these samples that I got from the counter lady, since I normally have normal to oily, and decided to give them a try. Boy did they help me. I've used the Hydra Quench Cream all these nights before i go to sleep and I wake up refreshed and with some moisture back in the affected areas. Also used the Beauty Flash Balm as a mask whilst bathing for 10 to 15min and it worked equally as well, so I'm very happy. As for repurchasing, I wish they were both in m y budget (sigh) but they go for $49.50 and $45 full size, which is waaaaaaay over what I can pay at the moment. My point is, if you have the money to spend and you're looking for good products to help dryness then you should check these out.

Yes To | Cucumbers

Hello, people! I come to you today with a bit of a skin care review. It was only recently I noticed a new brand of skin care called Yes To, in my defense (which is not a good defense) I hadn't ventured to the skin care are in some time...and by that I mean when my 1st face moisturizer died which was a long time ago. Anyway! I was first attracted to the lovely package, which I now hoard by the way, and decided to try it out. I mean, any skin care is better than none right? After using it for about a month and some now, I think I can cook up a good and honest review.

Daily Calming Moisturizer- This lovely guy here has helped my skin improved considerably, keeping in mind that I hadn't used any face moisturizer in some time so anything is better than nothing. At first I still had some dry areas, but in it's defense it takes time to mend that which was damaged for some time. Poetics! Anyway, not those dry patches have calmed down quite a bit and my skin is better. Did I mention this smells so good?! And also, when applied you get a tightening feeling in your face that is very nice.

Soothing Eye Gel- This eye gel is supposed to help dark circles and depuff, which in my opinion it does do to a certain degree. I don't wake up with overly puffy eyes, so I don't have much to say there. But the thought of not having concealer ever again is not as scary as it once was. The product itself has no smell and you really need such a small amount to cover both eyes.

Overall, I liked them both. I don't look so dull in the face when I don't wear make-up. My face feels softer and it has more color in it now. Although I still have dark circles and let's be real, who doesn't? The dark circles have gone down a bit. To prove this to myself, and that I wasn't crazy, I pestered my boyfriend with questions on my appearance sans make-up to the point he left the room when I opened my mouth to ask anything. Which proves to me it has helped, said by him! I still have some way to go before I finish both products but I do want to try other things on their line like the Carrots and Tomato ones!
