Urban Decay | YDK
Upon getting a newsletter that Urban Decay was having a sale I knew I just had to jump on the band wagon. Seeing as they don't ship here (which is a shame) I had to resort to my super flash texting skills so my aunt could ship them to me. True, UD sales don't have much to choose from, but the prices are very good and hard to pass on. I chose two things to try out, one which was this gorgeous eyeshadow called YDK. What attracted me was the lovely faded copper tone and how it was neutral.
One of the first things I noticed off the bat was how pigmented it was when I swatched it. No streaking and I didn't have to swatch twice. These are ups for me since it makes it easier to apply and blend, and most importantly it makes it quick. I rarely apply eye primer (to lazy to bother) and I'm happy to say I don't need it. I'm not a UD fan but I do love the small portion of products I do own from their label. This shadow is no exception. The color is a more subtle copy of the Maybelline color tattoo ones in Bad To The Bronze. The UD YDK is more light though which discards it as a dupe, and vice versa. I got this shadow for $6 so I'm incredibly happy with it and truly have nothing bad to say about it. I'll keep a look out for the next sale so I can include something for a giveaway.

MAC | Bare Study
Sup, guys? Here today to talk about MAC's cream shadow Bare Study. This is a very neutral pearl/champagne cream shadow that is perfect for an everyday wear. I got this because I'm going through a "no make up, make up look" and i thought this would be perfect to just slap on add some mascara and go. I've been using this for about 3 to 4 weeks now and I do love it but I get annoyed with it sometimes. This is a very gorgeous base and highlighter color that just gives an added radiance. What I dislike is that I feel it goes on streaky when applied with a finger so I tend to use a brush, which minimizes the streakyness but not by much. You have to be patient whilst blending it but once you're done it looks lovely. It's a very subtle color which is exactly what I was looking for. I first was leaning towards getting Stila's Kitten cream shadow but that one leans more towards a pinkish finish. Once this shadow is on (without primer) it has a very good lasting power, about 8 hours or so and it fades beautifully so you can imagine how long it'd last with primer.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. I have no regrets on buying it and I would highly consider getting it again once i ran out. But seeing that it is a nice amount of product, I think I can make this last quite a while before I run out. Also, MAC cream shadows tend to dry out so just pop this baby up-side down and let the moisture run to the top, that's how I always leave mine. I think the color is very suitable for any skin tone, from fair to darker tones. Of course, bare in mind that if you're fair skinned this will look like some added shimmer and not much color. Opposed to darker skins which would give a lovely flush of champagne color to the lid. Really, I think this product is a universal product that is lovely on anyone as long as it's used right.

Yes To | Cucumbers
Hello, people! I come to you today with a bit of a skin care review. It was only recently I noticed a new brand of skin care called Yes To, in my defense (which is not a good defense) I hadn't ventured to the skin care are in some time...and by that I mean when my 1st face moisturizer died which was a long time ago. Anyway! I was first attracted to the lovely package, which I now hoard by the way, and decided to try it out. I mean, any skin care is better than none right? After using it for about a month and some now, I think I can cook up a good and honest review.
Daily Calming Moisturizer- This lovely guy here has helped my skin improved considerably, keeping in mind that I hadn't used any face moisturizer in some time so anything is better than nothing. At first I still had some dry areas, but in it's defense it takes time to mend that which was damaged for some time. Poetics! Anyway, not those dry patches have calmed down quite a bit and my skin is better. Did I mention this smells so good?! And also, when applied you get a tightening feeling in your face that is very nice.
Soothing Eye Gel- This eye gel is supposed to help dark circles and depuff, which in my opinion it does do to a certain degree. I don't wake up with overly puffy eyes, so I don't have much to say there. But the thought of not having concealer ever again is not as scary as it once was. The product itself has no smell and you really need such a small amount to cover both eyes.
Overall, I liked them both. I don't look so dull in the face when I don't wear make-up. My face feels softer and it has more color in it now. Although I still have dark circles and let's be real, who doesn't? The dark circles have gone down a bit. To prove this to myself, and that I wasn't crazy, I pestered my boyfriend with questions on my appearance sans make-up to the point he left the room when I opened my mouth to ask anything. Which proves to me it has helped, said by him! I still have some way to go before I finish both products but I do want to try other things on their line like the Carrots and Tomato ones!

Way To: Eyeliner
I'm always asked how I do my cat eye, so I decided I'd make a post about it. Going through Tumblr these days I found this picture that contained a lot of ways to do your liner. Each way makes your eye look different, as you can see, and all of these are easy. There truly isn't an exact way to go about it. All you need is practice, practice will help you get it perfect. Also, experimenting on which look fits your eyes the best. What looks good on me may not flatter your eye. I only wish I had the proper source for this picture. If you guys do, let me know!
