Darling Girl Cosmetics | Indie Company

 Darling Girl Cosmetics is an indie cosmetics company I was first introduced to via a fellow blogger at a meeting. She wiped out her newly arrived goodies and started swatching. The one that blew our mind, and made me check out the store, was this gorgeous pigment called Jeweled Taupe. I'm all for indie companies especially when they have a good variety and has great communication with its clients. The store has so many awesome colors like vibrant reds and duo-chrome pink blushes. 

When buying from the store you have two choices, purchasing a sample size or a full side. This is brilliant since it's always good to try out something before committing to buying it whole... I know I've had my fair share of disappointments. Plus, you need such a small amount of product to cover the intended area. I found that all of the samples I got were very easy to apply and get a good pigmentation from the get go. Some of the blushes, like She-Bop and Neon Trees, are kind of patchy but easily blended out. Aloha, the bronzer, isn't so dark on my fair/olive skin, it's more of a sandy color that works very nice for a very subtle glow. And the prize of the day, Jeweled Taupe, is everything I wanted it to be. It gives such a lovely natural shine. I love how it compliments my eye instead of over powering it. This is one of those products that are inexpensive but look so glamorous and expensive. 

I've definitely learned to check out more indie cosmetics companies. You never know what you could find that is better and cheaper than a lot of other brands. DGC is always posting on their Facebook page, showing new colors and taking suggestions for future projects. This is something that is sometimes lost in more big companies. You could also always find dupes for more expensive products and that is always welcomed in my books. I do suggest you check them out, genuinely. MAC Pigment | Blue Brown

  Sup, guys! I come today to show you a MAC pigment called Blue Brown I got ages ago but never showed you. MAC pigments go for $20 each and from experience I say it's definitely worth it buy if it's a rare color and since they last soooooooooo long. I've had mine for months now and while I admit I use it for special occasions I have used it and it's still at 99%. It's easily a product I see lasting me years if I use it wisely. It's very pigmented and more importantly it's easy to blend out. Even though it looks scary it's very wearable and build-able for a more dramatic look. I just love how it looks like dragon scales! The amount of product needed to do both eyes is ridiculously small. Once you open the pigment it has a small cap inside which is what I use to pick up some of the color. I'm very happy with this guy and it's something I use for special occasions and when I feel adventurous.

The Ever Elusive NYX Matte Lipsticks

   I'd pretty much given up on finding NYX's matte lipsticks since I'd searched for them for a pretty long time, but my search is now over! Seriously, I couldn't find these anywhere! I found a stash not long ago with a pretty nice selection. Since I'm still venturing into the pink side of lipsticks I chose these two babes. Even though they're matte I don't find them to be drying at all. They last all day and they're very pigmented.

  Sweet Pink I was a little apprehensive before buying it. It was the only one and someone had swatched it. In the end I got it and thoroughly cleaned it again and again, and now it's good as new. It's my favorite of the two I got and I'm really happy I did get it. This shade of pink suits any skin tone, dark or fair. Actually, it would look divine on darker skin tones.

  As for Bloody Mary, it may look red but trust me there's some pink in it. It's a cross between red and pink and it looks very pigmented when on. I like wearing it and only applying mascara on my eyes, that way I let the lipstick take front and center. This is amazing on fair skins, especially if you have darker hair this baby will pop! I love it. I'm very happy with them both and I may look into getting more since they're only $5.
