KORRES | Lip Butter Glaze Trio

I have my camera back, hooray! Whilst searching Marshalls I found these Korres Lip Butter Glaze Trio for only $10. I'm getting into lip butters lately since I just can't bother with lipsticks because of the heat. Although these are pretty close to a lipgloss, and we all know I hate lip glosses, these aren't goopy and they give my lips much needed moisture. They don't go on highly pigmented, just a subtle flush of color but I don't mind that. I would mind it if I would have bought them on full price, but that's not the case here. These are also good for putting on top of maybe a more drying lipstick if it matches the color. Overall, I like these and since they're so small they're very portable and don't take up much space. As for buying them? Hey, if you find them in Marshalls or TJ Maxx then by all means try them.

Korres Lip Butter | Wild Rose

I'd been eying this baby for some time but had managed to not buy it, since it is $12, until well...now. After hearing so much about this from my favorite blogger Essiebutton and seeing that it did actually look very pretty, I decided to check it out. While in California this was my go-to lip color/balm when I didn't want a full on lipstick, and after a few weeks of trying it I think I can give a good honest review.
First let me express my love for the actual product package. Being a Graphic Design student and seeing this made me all giddy and happy. I actually kept the box for inspiration and I would go as far as to buy all the colors just to keep the boxes. Too much? Nah. After getting over my initial obsession with said package, heh sounds dirtyyyyy, I decided to get serious and start paying attention to the lip butter. The initial reaction was good, I liked the color and I liked how it wasn't that goupy lip gloss feel. However, with time I have to say the texture wasn't my favorite. I mean, I prefer the Revlon lip butters texture so much more. Although it isn't super goupy it does have some goupy tendencies, which I don't care for so much. Also I noticed it didn't last long on my lips which is sad! I mean, I really like the color but is it worth $12? Im not so sure. I don't regret buying it but the jury is still out if I buy it again or not.

Lip Care

Since I have frequently chapped lips I'm trying to take better care of them, especially since going on vacation where I was exposed to sun and whatnot. I normally apply some lip product every night before going to sleep. So, I've been exploring some options and here is what I have. These are the three I've stuck to. I've had lip balms, chapsticks, you name it, throughout all my life and I've never stuck to any of them. Flavor balms, yucky sticky ones, nothing ever stuck but these three. Here is what I have to say:

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula- This one is by far my favorite. It smells like chocolate, taste sweet and it does what it's meant to do. It's not sticky nor greasy and it lasts a long time. This keeps my lips soft and in good shape. It's also what I apply before wearing matte lipsticks.

Nivea Vitamin Swirl- This one I've had for a couple of months and is ok but not great. it's a bit greasy for my taste and it doesn't soften my lips enough. It does smell good and you get a very good amount of product. Plus, it has SPF10 which is good.

Carmex Lip Balm- This was another of my favorite until I got an allergic reaction. Nothing bad, though! I did have to stop using it but it did wonders to my lips before the reaction. What I mean is, you may not get the allergic reaction so this is a good pick! I'd still use it if I could. It's great, it soften and soothes the lips and it lasts a really long time providing moisture to your lips. I'm gonna miss it.

Having products that protect your lips is very important. Any sort of lip protection you favor is a must in your make-up bag and you should apply it daily to keep your lips in shape. Of course, finding new products and trying them out is always fun for me, so if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.
